Just like every other business owner in Bradford, you want your website to contribute more to your bottom line.
Higher rankings mean your products or services get seen by more of your potential customers.
If you’re serious about improving your bottom line – keep reading.
As you’ll discover, attracting more visitors to your website is not the only benefit of SEO.
The Benefits of Search Engine Optimisation
I’ll be working towards achieving the following for your business.
- Increasing your visibility in Google for the long term
- Getting highly qualified traffic to your site
- Improving your conversion rates thereby increasing your sales and leads
- Getting your visitors to submit their email address so you can build your list
My progress reports are made available to you to access at any time via a secure online dashboard.
The dashboard is frequently updated so you can keep an eye on how my work is progressing.
My workflow will be all mapped out on your dashboard, but for now it’s useful to provide you with an overview of my processes.
Getting to Know Your Business
As a business owner you know more about your customers than anyone else. I also need to understand all the nuances of those customers and your ambitions for your website.
You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire. It won’t take long and it helps get things underway.
I’ll need to understand:
- The level of in-house expertise you have at your disposal
- Your ambitions for your website
- Your target market
My first job is to take a look at your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data.
This data provides a baseline for how you website is performing as it stands at the moment.
Using the questionnaire data and analytics, I can then formulate an outline plan for your campaign.
Once I have your business model and goals mapped out, we can arrange a call to discuss my findings.
After the call, I can get down to producing the detailed strategy before making it available to you on your dashboard.
Once we have an agreed strategy in place, I can start the ball rolling.
Although every project I work on is unique in its own way, generally each project has the following common processes.
Virtually every website owner that has trouble ranking well in Google believes that backlinks are the answer to their problem.
That assumption is generally completely false.
Instead of looking at the external factors such as backlinks and social media marketing, the first step towards higher rankings is always to work on improving the technical factors on your own website.
Once I’ve completed the Technical Audit, my findings can be accessed via your dashboard.
Technical issues must be fixed before continuing on with the next process. You may have someone available that can do this for you. If not, I should be able to help fix any issues.
Content Audit and Assessment
There are two reasons for focusing on your sites current content:
- Nothing you do off-site, and that includes backlinks, can change how your website is perceived by your visitors. If you don’t provide relevant, useful and engaging content on your site, your visitors will bounce back to the search results.
If your sites pages have a high bounce rate, it’s sends a signal to Google that your site is not providing what your visitors want and your rankings suffer.
- On-site factors have a massive effect on your rankings. If all your pages are truly unique, engaging and valuable to your sites visitors, Google will start to trust your site as a valuable resource.
As a result, your whole site will rank better.
You can’t rank for the long term with average content on your site; no matter how much time, effort and money you throw at link building and other off-site factors.
OK, I know what many of you are thinking – we all see websites that rank well with low quality content.
But if your competitors rank well with poor content, believe me, they’ve left the door wide open for you to take their place.
Don’t get me wrong about content.
I don’t encourage anyone to create more content than is necessary. The idea is to maximise results with the minimum of content.
That’s where keyword research comes into play.
My keyword research process checks both the content on your own site and also the sites of your main competitors.
Competitor analysis is very informative. It tells us where the competitions content is strong and also where their content is weak.
This knowledge provides the insights that are needed to make create an optimum content strategy.
If you have your own content creation resources, that’s great. Otherwise you can leave it to me.
Either way, once I’ve documented what needs doing by when, we know who is responsible for doing the work.
Social Media Marketing
Providing Google with verifiable evidence that your business is legitimate and still operational should not be underestimated.
That’s why social accounts that require verified details are so necessary.
You don’t need to overboard here, but you do need to have verified profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Another advantage is that Social networks allow you to connect your social following with the content on your site.
This means you don’t have to create content specifically for your social platforms. It’s not overly time consuming to use the content that already exists on your site and repurpose it on your social media sites.
While you can access your progress dashboard at anytime, an updated report will be available at the end of each month.
